Villa Herceg occupies a position in the beautiful surroundings of Mostar. The steep terrain conditioned the emergence of a special and specific form that fully melds and permeates with its environment.
The object consists of two separate parts. One part forms a living zone along with accompanying service rooms, while the other part, which is also a physically separate part, forms a night zone, with as many as three bedrooms and a large wardrobe. Both parts are connected tksv. joint that is completely glazed, and therefore airy communication space.
In the basement space there is a garage and technical rooms, where the entire specified space serves as a postament, i.e. a base ground floor that is functional, physical but also through materialization taken from the rest of the space.
On the ground floor, an exceptional space is formed that is partially greened to provide intimacy to the environment and yet, freedom of movement and opening visors to the rest of the space.
The access sequence consists of an inner courtyard and an external staircase that introduces the visitor to a whole new dimension, where the goal was to experience the space in which it is located with each step, the user of the space, in particular emphasizing the difference between the open and intimate part of the space.
The idea for this vision of concepts stems from the aspiration to orient the entire object south, also isolate it from our neighbors, and yet emphasize the visuals and use what is offered directly to us on the ground.
In doing so, we rounded up a story that is really special and unique in each segment of its own.
